Regarding the conversion of units in physics, when converting milliamps to amps:

Is 4.0 mA the same as 0.004A?

1mA = .0001 amp (gooogle)

So yes that is correct ;]

I remember things like this by referring to other simpler, more recognisable forms of measurement such as; there are 1000 milliltres in 1 Litre or 1000 millimeters in 1 meter

4.0 mA is equal to 0.0040A the extra 0 on the end reflects the accuracy of the original figure ( 2 significant figures)
