What's the best way to get your ENTER score?

Is it worth getting your ENTER score via SMS? What about the online portal? Is there a chance the website will be unavailable?

Details for receiving your ENTER score via SMS are as below,

SMS

TEXT 19 787 888

(Be.Interactive cost $1.10 max incl. GST. Results delivered 14 December 2009. Helpline: 1800 >501 083)

To pre-register to get your results by SMS, send a text message as follows:

   * Student number (eight digits, not the letter)
   * Space
   * PIN (four digits)
   * Send to 19 787 888

You can do this from 9 am Monday 16 November until midnight Sunday 13 December You will receive your results at 7 am Monday 14 December. Requests sent after midnight may cause a short delay

Details for accessing your ENTER score via the VCAA web portal,

INTERNET

Website: vcaaresults.vic.edu.au

The Internet service is free and is available 24 hours a day from 7 am Monday 14 December until 12 noon Monday 21 December

SMS: By registering to get results sent via SMS, you will get the results sent to your nominated number approximately 5-10 minutes after the official results release. The online portal will most likely crash, and signing up for SMS will ensure that you get your results ASAP. Also note that if you are overseas, you will NOT receive the SMS (I signed up for it and was on holiday, so I didn't get one).

Online Portal: You have to be quick to login before it crashes! The online portal is usually open 15 minutes before the stated opening time, so be sure to keep trying. The Online Portal for the 2008 results was open approximately 10 minutes before the official time. The portal will most likely crash after 15 minutes of so, and will be back up probably some time later. Something might be done to improve the servers, but you will never know!

The servers go up at some random time 10-15 before the advertised time, most likely in an attempt to stagger the overwhelming traffic that the site will be receiving. – Collin Li♦ Nov 24 at 5:35
