I've heard that some students have studied a uni subject only to have the increment not get counted. Is this because they are studying "too much" of one type of subject (e.g. maths methods, specialist, further and uni maths)? Thanks!

If you only do four VCE subjects, then an extension study can't be counted as the fifth. The current rules are that it can only be counted as a sixth subject and will contribute between 4 and 5.5 points to the aggregate underpinning your ENTER depending on how well you pass. The restriction on mathematics is only for the primary four VCE subjects. That is, you can't count more than two maths in the primary four. But there is nothing to stop you doing uni maths as well as two VCE maths subjects. |
