Question from a student: "Which mathematics is harder in VCE?"

The obvious answer would be Specialist Mathematics. Do you agree with this?

Specialist Maths is obviously the hardest.

Specialist maths builds on knowledge/material covered in Maths Methods.

Both Specialist Maths and Maths Methods contains material of much higher standard compared to Further Maths.

In general, specialised maths is the most hardest maths you will do in high school level. However, the 3 different types of maths are really different and requires students to develope different aspects of analytical skills. Many people believe further maths is easier and everyone will get 50. Well, that's not always a simple task, for people who has poor understanding of statistical calaculations, you will find yourself 'drown'.

TIP: Check the course sylabus and test use it towards your strength.

hope his helps

Do some students study university maths for the VCE as well. If so, then that may be hardest.
