I know there's not a definite answer for this, but, I recently bought a second hand CAS. It is the black and white screen ones that use AAA batteries.

It's 100% working right now, I updated the OS.

I'm just scared these old CAS will completely die during/leading up to my methods exam. What I mean by die is not battery going flat because i can put new ones in, I mean when they actually don't work at all.

Anyone have any experiences?

Probably largely depends on the brand/quality of the triple AAA batteries used. Buy a premium brand of triple AAA batteries.

If you'd like to err on the side of caution, replace your batteries in the week or couple days before your exam.

It's highly unlikely that it will run out of battery during your exam though.
