Triglyceride is the product of glycerol + 3 fatty acids.

Glycerol is basically propan-1,2,3-triol (e.g. a 3 carbon chain with an OH on each carbon).

Each OH is a site for an esterification reaction with a fatty acid (any long chain with -COOH). When all 3 -OHs are bonded with fatty acids, it becomes a triglyceride.
