Dispersion Forces are the weakest of all the inter-molecular forces. They exist between all covalent molecules.

The strength of Dispersion Forces depends of the number of electrons and the shape of the molecule.

They arise because of the constant movement of electrons which results in instantaneous dipoles which temporarily attract each-other.

The more electrons there are (usually, the larger the molecule), the stronger the dispersion forces will be.
