Hello,

I was hoping someone could help me

There is a course I want to get into the course has a 2010 Round 1 Clearly-in ATAR of 99.4. However also requires UMAT. Does this mean even if i get an extremely bad score on the UMAT but I get 99.4 that I still get in?

The 2010 Round 1 Fringe ATAR is 90.75, can someone explain to me what this means? If I get around a 95 ATAR score, do you think I'm likely to get in?

Thanks for the help!

If the course requires UMAT - I'm assuming it's Medicine.

Regardless of your ATAR, the UMAT score has more weight. I know people that got 99.96 and did not get into their course that requires UMAT.

You are looking to aim for at least 85 percentile on the UMAT for a decent chance at getting in :) - but remember if you can't get in, there are always postgraduate ways :)

If it's medicine you want to do, check out bio-medicine first as an alternate pathway.
