I like biology, and I don't particularly like physics.

But if I do physics, they'll boost my score and biology won't.

Which one should i pick?  :S

If you like Biology I think it is a no-brainer. Many people do not realise that Biology is scaled upwards. Furthermore, scaling in most cases only creates a fair playing field. It considers the calibre of the students in your subject's cohort based on their overall performance. The lower their calibre the easier it is for you to achieve a higher mark. Hence your score will be adjusted to reflect this. There is a balance. It hardly matters what subject is picked. The most important thing is to pick something that will motivate you and that you will have a reason to study for aside from the extrinsic ATAR goal.

Don't choose the subjects which you think are scaled up, just because they are scaled up. Even if they do go up, if you don't enjoy the subject and ultimately end up doing badly then it wasn't worth doing it. You'll probably end up with a better score in a subject that you enjoy and are going to dedicate your passion and time into.

Do biology. Physics only scales up because the cohort which takes it is generally high performing, so getting a 30 in physics is harder than getting a 30 in biology. Physics is a subject where you either "get it" or you don't, and if you don't like the subject you might find that you struggle a bit and you don't have an intuitive understanding of it. On the other hand, the study that you put into biology pays off more in terms of marks than study put into physics because a large portion (but not all) of the course relies on rote learning.
