what are the advantages of treating diabetes with human insulin produced by genetic engineering

also, how do you do questions that ask you to calculate the distance that genes are apart in map units?

What are primers?

Humans with diabetes can have a normal lifestyle
This is not part of the study design
Sequences of complementary DNA/RNA that can bind to a DNA strand and help initiate DNA synthesis by allowing DNA polymerase to continue building along the new strand.

1) The alternative is using pig insulin which has a very similar amino acid sequence. However the human insulin produced by genetic engineering, is just that human insulin.  It has the same amino acid sequence.

2) I also don't think this is part of the study design, but vcaa still asks questions from before the study desgin was changed because teachers keep teaching it. So in answer it's the percentage of the recombinants.

3) Agreed. It initiates the DNA synthesis because DNA polymerase can only add nucleotides to an exsisting strand of DNA.
