polygenic describes a trait contollred by the cumulative effect of many genes, each of which contributes to the phenotype (for instance skin colour), whereas polymorphic refers to a trait for which there is more than one phenotype seen in the population - for instance drosophila wing length can be short or long. A trait for which only one phenotypre is exhibited is described as monomorphic.
