Hello everyone.

Wondering if there is any easy method as to translate trig graphs horizontally, the way I've been doing it for the past hour is dotting in the graph without the translation and then moving each point to it's new position, and I find it to be quite tedious.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Fady,

First of all - welcome to Merspi!

I'd recommend checking out Collin's suggested link: http://math.gilazaria.com/?p=7

If you're more of an audio/visual learner, I'd recommend checking out YouTube for some great live examples of students sketching graphs and showing off their tricks for translations, etc.

Here's an example of two great ones I found:

Curve Sketching Using Calculus - Part 1 of 2

Curve Sketching Using Calculus - Part 2 of 2

There's some really great advice to absorb in these resources.

Hope that helps! If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to post them or comment them here!
